Bedlington Whitley Memorial's wraparound service is available to pupils in nursery to year 6. We offer a daily free breakfast club (7:45am - 8:45am) and a chargeable after school session (3:20pm -5:00pm).

Meet the team!

We are delighted to have some of our fantastic teaching assistants leading our wraparound care provision. Mrs Dodds, Mrs Cannon and Mrs Alexander bring a wealth of experience from working within the school environment and are highly skilled in supporting children across the primary age range.

They are passionate about creating a safe, welcoming and nurturing environment where children can relax, have fun and feel valued after the school day. A wide variety of engaging activities will be on offer, carefully planned around the children’s interests to ensure every child enjoys their time in wraparound care and has the very best experience.

Offer to families

We recognise that families who may access our after school facility may have many commitments. Therefore, we will be happy to:

Provide your child with access to Timetables Rockstars/Numbots every night
Hear your child read and sign their reading record (this can take place after 4:30pm) and at your request.
Provide a healthy, balanced snack, including: cheese and crackers, toast, bagels and wraps with a variety of toppings/fillings, fresh fruit and yoghurt.

Provision and Prices

Breakfast Club:

Our Breakfast Club is free for all pupils to attend. Children should be dropped off at the KS2 entrance, where they will be signed in by a member of staff.

Breakfast Club runs daily from 7:45am to 8:45am, after which pupils will be taken to their classrooms for registration.

After School Club:

After School Club is available daily from 3:20pm until 5:00pm. Each session costs £10.00 and must be booked and paid for in advance through School Gateway https://schoolgateway.co.uk/get-started/.

Please note that After School Club will not operate on the last day of each term.

In some cases, where a significant level of additional support is required to enable a child to attend safely, an additional charge may be necessary to cover staffing costs. This would always be discussed with parents in advance and considered on an individual basis.
