Welcome to the ‘Special Educational Needs and /or Disabilities (SEND) information report for Whitley Memorial First School.

At Whitley Memorial we have a commitment to ensure all children have the level of support required to enable them to make good progress in all areas if their development.

We have a Special Educational Needs Policy which is available to view on our website and within school.

At Whitley Memorial we make it our aim to identify children who have additional needs as early as possible, so we can effectively support children through assessment and high quality provision.

Where it is deemed necessary to liaise with external agencies, Parents views / consent will be required and we will endeavour to keep parents up to date with progress of the procedure.

The Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENDCO) is Mrs Townsend. Parents who have concerns regarding S.E.N.D are encouraged to contact her through school where appointments can be arranged. (01670)  822994.
